Snoring is a really simple thing that occurs. The main characteristic that you'll see with a person that snores is that they'll be lying on their back with their jaw open. Basically the air goes in their mouth, vibrates against some of the loose tissue and the sounds of snoring are produced. What a lot of people don't understand is that simply closing your mouth could stop snoring. The alignment of your jaw actually controls the size of the airway in your throat. The larger the airway, the harder it is to snore.
When it comes to preventing snoring vibrations, I've found that a simple jaw supporter works great. It's not a complicated device. It's just a simple headband that wraps around your chin and the back of your head. Its intention is to hold your jaw up and that's it. It works great at preventing this problem. -Charles Nash
